TiVo is great. It’s more stable than the Windows XP portion of my old Home Theater PC (HTPC), which means that I don’t have to spend 1 weekend per month trying to identify broken drivers or reformatting hard drives. Another reason everyone should have a TiVo – you can easily record crappy movies.

Case in point: Last week I recorded Cyborg 2. It starred some guy you’ve never heard of, Angelina Jolie, and Jack Palance. The special effects were pretty bad, but the writing was even worse. Here are a few quotes that may or may not make you want to record the movie:

  • “Remember that the difference between champ and chump is U” – Jack Palance
  • “Don’t get dead” – Angelina Jolie

…And my personal favorite:

  • “If you’re going to dine with the devil, make sure you bring a really long spoon” – Jack Palance
